Bunny Silhouette Cookies

Easter is this weekend...are you ready?

I was asked to donate cookies to a bake sale for Relay for Life...and of course I said YES!  With the bake sale being the Friday before Easter, I thought Easter Cookies would be a great cookie to sale!

I wanted to be able to donate as many cookies as I could...so that meant a quick cookie!

Bunny Silhouette Cookies

I once again turned to Simply Sweet Stencils to help me make a beautiful cookie!  I base coated the cookie with purple, the color of the Relay for Life Logo, and once it was dry used the Bunny Silhouette Stencil and a stiff white icing to add a bunny, when I finished the stencil, before it was dry, I dipped it in white sanding sugar, to add a little sparkle!

Bunny Silhouette Cookies

These cookies came together so quick!  I was able to stencil 24+ cookies in less then 20 minutes.  If you are in need of quick decorated cookies.....Stencils are the way to go!

No Easter would be complete without Peep cookies...so I made a few of them also!  Aren't they cute?

He Is Risen Cookies

Spring is here and with Spring come EASTER!

I wanted to share some quick cookies I made today, using the wonderful stencils from Simply Sweet Stencils.

For many, Easter means Bunnies and Eggs, while those are fun, the most important thing about Easter is...

He is not here, for he is risen, as he said.  Come, see the place where the Lord Lay.
Matthew 28:6

I used a large egg cookie cutter, and base coated it white, after it was completely dry, I use the
Sunburst Stencil and yellow to air brush  the sunburst pattern on the cookie, off setting it to the lower part of the cookie.  Once that was dry, using a light purple stiff Royal Icing, and the He Is Risen Stencil , I applied the He is Risen image.  While it does seem like many steps and complicated, I promise you, these were some of the easiest cookies I have done.

If you have not tried stencils, I encourage you to do so, whether you use air brush or Royal Icing, the outcomes is wonderful!  Simply Sweet Stencils is a great place to purchase stencils, she has unique patterns and the quality is second to none.

Party in Your PJs #47

Welcome back to Party in Your PJs.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!  Do you have green on....I hope so, I would hate to run around all over the country pinching people.  Collin actually slept in green PJs last night, as he was scared I would pinch him this morning when I woke him up!  That my friends is dedication!

No...onto the party!  Remember to take the time to visit other blogs that are linked up, it really is not a party if everyone just comes and doesn't socialize with others.  So be friendly, click around, read something new, learn something new, make friends...we all like comments and encouragement!

Dump Truck Cookies

I recently did an order for a customer for Dump Truck cookies.  This is the second time I have made these cookies, and I love these just as much as the first time I did them.

Dump Truck Cookies -The Cookie Puzzle

I did not have time to take pictures of these cookies before I delivered them, but I did get a couple.
It has been a long time since I have done cookies delivered on a platter, most of the cookies I do are individually wrapped and I deliver them in bakery boxes.

Dump Truck Cookies -The Cookie Puzzle

It is fun to see the cookies all on display on a platter, I will have to do that more often.  The customer requested a variety of colors, so I went with bright primary colors of Blue, Red and Yellow, and just went to town.  Loving how they turned out, but more importantly, the customer loved them.

If you are interested in making these cookies, you can get the cutter HERE.

Party in Your PJs #45

Welcome back to Party in Your PJs.

While I am not feeling 100% yet....I am definitely feeling much better.  Mom's aren't supposed to get sick...but I did...and stayed in bed for 2 days, my boys pampered me, keeping me feed and hydrated, so by Wednesday night...I was feeling almost human again.  Being sick sucks!

So....I am ready to party this week...hit me with some fun, cute and creative posts....I need inspiration!

Mint M&M Brownie Cookies

Mint and Chocolate are a combination made in heaven.  With St. Patrick's Day right around the corner, I found my self wanting a quick and easy treat to celebrate the day.  These Mint M&M Brownie Cookies meet all the requirements, and taste YUMMY!

Mint M&M Brownie Cookies

These taste just like a brownie, but in cookie form, and have a pop of mint that offer and unexpected pop of mint in your mouth.

Using a brownie mix, these cookies come together quickly, and are perfect for parties or just a fun after dinner treat.

Mint M&M Brownie Cookies

I made these on the bigger side of my normal cookies, and rather then stirring in the M&Ms, I chose to place them on top of the dough before baking them.  This way, they look pretty, and you get a pop of mint in each bite!

Mint M&M Brownie Cookies

Try these cookies soon, they have the classic brownie taste, with the classic brownie "crackle" top, crunchy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside...with the wonderful minty chocolate flavor!

*a word of advice...DO NOT OVERBAKE THESE....bake for only 12-13 minutes then pull them from the over, letting them cool for 5 minutes on the cookie sheet before removing them to a cooling rack to cool completely*
Mint M&M Brownie Cookies

Ingredients
  • 1 (19.5 oz) Family Size Fudge Brownie Mix
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 oil
  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 Package (8 oz) Mint M&Ms
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Line baking sheets with silpat, parchment or spay with nonstick cookie spray. In a large mixing bowl combine brownie mix, flour, oil, water and eggs. Gently stir until all are combined, but do not over mix. Drop by rounded tablespoons (I used a large cookie scoop) on to baking sheet, leaving at least 2 inches between cookies. Carefully place M&M on top of unbaked cookies, I used 4-6 per cookie. Bake for 12-13 minutes, resist the urge to bake more! Let cookies cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes, then remove to wire rack to cool completely.
