Since we are almost finished building our new Rustic Home, it is time to start thinking about furniture. We are wanting a new bed, since we did most of the work ourselves, Mr. Cookie Puzzle and I thought why not build a new Headboard for our Master Bedroom.
A quick search of the internet yielded me many choices to choose from. From natural wood to painted shutters, from books to windows, from wood slices to corrugated tin, the choices are really endless.
We are not sure exactly what we are planning on doing, but these 10 headboards, give me plenty of inspiration.

I am in love with each and everyone of these, they are all so different, but in my opinion, they all have the rustic feel to them.
Have you ever made a headboard before? Do you have any tips or tricks for me? Should I pick out my bedding first and match the style I choose to that. Or, do I make the headboard first?
