So....after decorating cookies for just over a year...I decided it was time to pull on my big girl panties and give blogging a try....am is scared? Yep! Do I have any idea what I am doing? That would be a big fat NO! So please hang with me a little while, why I try to figure all this out.
I want my blog to look amazing, I really do...but I have NO IDEA WHAT I AM DOING!
When I started this little cookie adventure, I thought I would just make cookies for friends and family...you know...I "little" hobby to occupy my time.
And then it happen! I GOT TOTALLY SUCKED IN! Cookies became my life...I read blogs...I joined message boards. I purchased more cookie cutters then anyone would ever need.
THEN...people liked me...they really liked me! Oh boy I felt like a total rock star...in my own mind at least.
THEN....I "met" people! Soooooo many super nice people...people who, like me, were totally addicted to cookies. People who looked at a greeting card, and saw a cookie, people who purchased cookie cutters like the end of the world was coming and cookie cutters were water and you totally need water to survive...right?
THEN....I became "friends" with these people..you know, like real friends...we shared our troubles, in the cookie world and out.
Sooo...there you go...I am giving blogging a try...I am going to make mistakes...and for the life of me, I can not figure out some of this stuff...but hang with me....I will learn...or die trying...well, not die, just stick with it.
Oh....And April is Autism Awareness month....so here are some cookies I did!
Kim!!!!! Hip Hip Hooray! Im glad you have your blog up and running. Maybe someday, I'll too put my big girl panties on and give it a try. But until then, I'll sit back and look forward to all your blog entries!!! Then, once you get it all figured out you'll take me by the hand and teach me! :) Ansa
What a great post! I can't believe I missed it until you were already on Day 2 of your blogging career :-) This post was so fun because we can all SO RELATE. Blogging is completely foreign in the beginning and boy can I ever relate in seeing a card and seeing it as a cookie and seeing a cookie cutter and thinking the world might end if I don't own it. I think we are cookie sisters :-) Love your new blog Kim! Congrats on a job very well done. Oh and I love the cookies too. My favorite is the umbrella with puzzle pieces. That is so creative and SO cool!
I love these cookies! I especially love the ones with purple and the cupcakes are awesome. I can totally tell how near and dear to your heart the puzzle piece is. Great job!
I can cross another thing off my "Cookie List"... * Read every post & squeal at every picture on The Cookie Puzzle.
Hi Kim, it's Nikki that you mailed the puzzle cutter to a couple weeks ago! Thank you again for such a sweet gesture!
I feel like I get to know everyone so much better when I read their stories on their blog. I just love your mission, your cookies, your stories and Collin! My friend's son was just diagnosed as autistic (medium range) and has already made huge strides with his language skills. I remember crying over your blog in April with all the guests posts of amazing cookies.
Thanks Kim, for your kindness and your sheer existence!
Yeay for blogging! I love your puzzle piece cookies and I especially love all the different color combinations you've used!
